Glum
A reintroduction to the word “glum” by my lady-when-waiting. A perfect way to sum up my current mood. As she pointed out, it’s an eyeore-sort-of-a-word that doesn’t come up nearly enough even though it fits those moody days where you can’t quite pinpoint what’s wrong. It’s up there with gloomy, though “gloomy” has a goth-teenager-writing-bad-poetry feel to it.
So glum.
Glum.
Sigh.

As trite as it is, (((hugs))). Here’s to tomorrow being a much happier day.
Hoping you aren’t GLUM tomorrow. It’s a sad, rainy day kind of word. I wish you sunshine instead.
as an aside, I have been in a cranky pants kind of mood for about a week now, where I want to whine and be soothed even while I continue to whine. Maybe I need some sunshine too.
((HUGS))
I am glum as well but I think I need something to fix it.
Wish I could offer something to help you!
Glum makes me think of those days when you just can’t figure out what’s wrong but you would rather be hiding under the covers rather than dealing with the world. I think it sometimes comes from this deep tiredness of having to keep fighting to keep your head about water.
Here’s to hoping that your ‘glum-ness’ doesn’t stick around too long!
(As an aside, I just wanted to let you know that I was very impressed with the cake decorating!! What a great hobby!)
Glum is one of those words which sounds exactly like it feels. Sad. Tired. Down.
Here’s hoping that it doesn’t stick around for too long.
*hug*
Hope you’re feeling better soon, Mel.
