Circle Time: The Show and Tell Weekly Thread
Welcome back to Show and Tell. Everyone is welcome to join, even if you have never posted before and just found out about Show and Tell for the first time today. In fact, we hope you do go back to your blog and post your own Show and Tell item and then return with the link to your post. Details on how to participate are located at the bottom of this post.
Let’s begin.
I never expected to be someone who had the Virgin Mary appear on a panini or saw Christ in a watermark under a bridge. Forget that I’m Jewish; I just don’t think I’m important enough to be chosen. I don’t think I even rate a visit from Nixon’s corpse. So imagine my surprise when I am drying off after a shower one day and I notice that an image of Chewbacca is clearly appearing on my floor.
What? You can’t see him? Fine, I’ll outline it for you. Take a gander below and then scroll back up to see the image in its pure state.
At first, I wasn’t positive if I was seeing Chewy. It could be a Yeti, for instance. Or Sasquatch. Or numerous other hairy beings. Our friends were over our house and I asked them to come upstairs and check it out since the guy is a huge Star Wars fanatic (yeah, Scooter–I’m talking about you!). Scooter immediately agreed. We had Chewy.
It’s not just Chewbacca though–if you notice, he is definitely wearing Darth Vadar’s cloak. What does this all mean? That Chewbacca was Luke Skywalker’s brother? That Chewy is really part of the Dark Side? It’s all a little too scary to contemplate.
Regardless, I am going to turn my bathroom into an exhibit and open it up to all Star Wars junkies. 50 cents to touch Chewbacca. And you can pee while you’re in there or rummage through our medicine cabinet. A pretty fair deal if I do say so myself.

Want to bring something to Show and Tell?
- If you would like to join circle time and show something to the class, simply post each Sunday (or earlier in the weekend or on Monday if you can’t do Sunday), hopefully including a picture if possible, and telling us about your item. It can be anything–a photo from a trip, a picture of the dress you bought this week, a random image from an old yearbook showing a person you miss. It doesn’t need to contain a picture if you can’t get a picture–you can simply tell a story about a single item.
- Label your post “Show and Tell” each week and then come back here and add the permalink in the comments section below (make sure you don’t just comment that you participated: add a link to your blog in your comment so people can click over). I post a new Show and Tell pos
t every Saturday night or Sunday. I usually move people up into the body of the post every few hours. - Oh, and then the point is that you click through all of your classmates and see what they are showing this week.
- If you want it…
I’ve now placed a Show and Tell archive on the sidebar that will be updated each week in case you miss it. And click here for the icon code if you wish to have it for your blog. It links to the archives.

Very cute and I’m not even a Star Wars fan. My post this week:

Okay i see another image in this picture too. I saw it in original pic without your edit and thought that was going to be it before I scrolled down.
Now I am not a Star Wars fan at all, but could it be another character maybe? Go here to see what I saw. Do you see it too?
Ha!!
That made me laugh SOOOOOO hard!!
Oh, and wishing’s pic looks a little bit like yoda, i wonder if the entire cast of Star Wars is in your bathroom??

Hi – fancy see ole Chewie!! 😉
Anyway here is my show and tell for day – it’s all about the new laptop – woohoo!
sorry – that should have been “seeing” – my grammarian skills seem to have abandoned me today!!
Oh my goodness – chewy sighting is AWESOME!
I just posted my show and tell. Thanks as always, Mel!
Too funny!
Here’s my link. 😉
I love Chewy. I think if I had that, Hubby would want to memorialize it or something!

But I’m in:

Hmmm, I’m not sure it’s Chewbacca. I’ll have to think on it some more. I am glad I’m not the only one who sees faces in floor tile. The fake wood trim that was in our van, when I was a little kid, was FULL of creepy faces as well!
I’ve got my first Show and Tell up.

bwahaha!! I say go for it…remember that grilled cheese sandwich that had the Virgin Mary or something, that samich raked in some dough!
Here’s my weekly entry 🙂
Laughing out loud – seriously! My boys are crazy over Star Wars! Before I read it I thought it was Chewy in Darth Vader’s helmet too! I love the thoughts about Chewy being related to Luke! Maybe it is Halloween and Chewy is dressed as Darth Vader to scare Leia! I will have to show it to them tomorrow. Oh, and if you ever need to know – I am getting really good at Lego Star Wars on Playstation 2! Never knew beating levels would be part of my Mom description! lol
Hahaha! LOVE the mysterious Chewy on your bathroom floor!! LOL!
My Show and Tell is up:

I didn’t see your Chewy in the original photo, but I did see the same face that wishing 4 one saw. I am sure that you could charge more for a 2-for-1 Star Wars Faces tour of your bathroom.
Here’s my show and tell post:

Lolly,
Am I delirious from traveling, or did you just Show & Tell the Chewbacka gone Darth Vader in your bathroom?! Damn girl, what are in those lollipops you are licking?!
My Show & Tell is a bit late today, as we just got back from a long weekend trip:
Show and Tell: Fifty Years!!
Well, crap. I totally saw Darth Vader until you showed me the outline. At least they’re both from Star Wars.
I’m in this week! http://fertileramblings.blogspot.com/2008/06/this-weeks-show-tell.html
The more show and tells you do, Lolly, the more I like you. You’re kind of weird. And I mean that in the most loving way possible.
Now for my boring but gorgeous show and tell.

It took me a while to see Chewy, even with your edits. But I finally did. Yep, you should charge admission.
Here’s my show and tell
I finally got around to show and tell! I get so behind some days, but I do keep notes each day so that I can do posts when I get around to it!
