#Microblog Monday 359: Beach Pyjamas

Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

*******

I am totally here for old-timey beach pyjamas. I love swingy pants. Swingy pants on the beach is perfection. I am also here for hostess pyjamas.

Maybe I’m just here for pyjamas. Everywhere. All the time. As a fashion statement.

I am pro-pyjamas. Are you, too?

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts that are connected to businesses or are sponsored post.

I have to admit, if I’m going to be at the beach on a hot summer day, I’d prefer to be in shorts vs long pants, even if they are kind of loose and swingy! I do like wearing pajama bottoms around the house, although I’ve been wearing more yoga pants vs pajama pants in recent years. And I prefer nightgowns to sleep in vs pajamas. (Short, T-shirt style.) Not so sure I like seeing people in PJ pants in public (at the mall, etc.). I suppose I’m more forgiving of teenagers doing it than older people. I guess I’m a little old-fashioned. 😉

I agree that those PJs look too hot for the beach. but I don’t wear pants to sleep in the summer anyways, so I guess I could still do “pajamas” if they were shorts & tanks instead.

I am, however, all about loose & flowy pants. ALL ABOUT IT

I love pyjamas. So comfy! Pajama Day is my favorite of the spirit days at school. The beach pyjamas are so saucy for the time! Some seem to make up for the wide legged pant’s modesty with crazy backless tops. Scandal! Hostess pyjamas look like a lot of fun too. Maybe it’s time to have a grown up pyjama party…

I am pro PJ at all times but yesterday I saw a woman out shopping in pjs and fuzzy slippers and I cannot get on board with that. It was rainy and she had to walk through a dirty parking lot before walking on the dirty public floor of the stores and yuck. No to that. No slippers out of the house.

Yes! PJs. I wonder if there are PJs for work. Hmm…

A nicely tailored wide leg palazzo pant is beautiful – and a long way from pyjamas, in my view! I discovered how flattering they can be way back in the early 90s! I’m so glad they’re back in fashion. I love pj pants, and especially so in the tropics where they can protect from mosquitos AND look stylish. At the beach, I’d go for ankle length or 3/4. Sigh. Summer seems so far away today.

I love the photos from that article too – women with real shapes, lol.

Not Pro-pyjamas outside of the home or even working from home. I think people should always be comfortable but I’ve found that some people get too relaxed in their behavior when they’re “not dressed”. Working from home, I always like to get dressed first thing in the morning. It helps get me in the right frame of mind to work.
