#Microblog Monday 360: I Don’t Have a Lucky Meal
Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

Cup of Jo asked if you have a lucky meal. A lucky meal? Like a meal we eat when we need good luck? How would that work? Like the food would somehow signal to the universe that we need X to happen? That’s a bizarre thought. Food can’t do that. Unlike my lucky socks, which can and do influence the universe.
We have recurring meals—rigatoni pomodorini makes it into the rotation at least once every two weeks. And during the pandemic, we’ve indulged in tacos from Tuesday all the way through Friday (always different kinds) because… mood. But we don’t think these meals will do anything more than make us feel good for thirty minutes when the world doesn’t feel good. So not really lucky.
But it made me want a lucky meal; something I could eat and believe that it would change the course of events.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts that are connected to businesses or are sponsored post.

Not sure about a “lucky” meal. But my post is about some of my favourite meals, as per your other recent post. 😉
And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m hungry and off to find something to eat! (lol)
I know it was completely unrelated, but… after our successful transfer that resulted in DD #1 (after a number of failures and m/c), when we went back to that clinic to try for a 2nd, we (ok, I) decided to reenact our meals—veggie burger from BK drive thru after transfer, takeout from a Mediterranean food chain the next day. And, this transfer was also successful resulting in DD #2.
I’ve had lucky foods in my time of magical thinking… Sticky buns, pineapple. Spaghetti with meatballs the night before a high school track meet. That was more functional carb-loading, though. No actual lucky meals though!
No, I don’t have a lucky meal. I’ve never even thought about it. How odd to have one. Though like you, perhaps I wish I did.
I don’t have a lucky meal, but I definitely have meals that I would, or wouldn’t, eat prior to a “big day.” But not because I think the meal(s) would bring me (good or bad) luck but because I would want to ensure that I’d provided my body with proper nutrition to be at its optimal functioning and avoided foods that might cause me heartburn, gas and the like.
