#Microblog Monday 375: Stanley Tucci Makes Us Happy
Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

Prior to the pandemic, Stanley Tucci flew under my radar. I knew who he was — as in, if someone said his name, I could conjure up a mental image of his face — but I couldn’t name most of his films. But early in the pandemic, I read a great essay where he recounted a day in his life during lockdown. It was such a great moment of art making me feel less alone.
Later in the pandemic, we watched Searching for Italy and enjoyed dreaming about a time when we’d be able to travel again. And now, finally, the ChickieNob and I are listening to his new book, Taste, as we walk. His stories make us lose track of how long we’ve been exercising. He has been such a bright spot every time he loops back in front of us during the pandemic.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts that are connected to businesses or are sponsored post.

I usually don’t love plays turned into movies, but MidSummer Nights Dream is amazing and Stanley Tucci plays a fairy and is hilarious!!
Stanley Tucci has never been anything less than amazing in every movie I’ve ever seen him in… and I think “Searching for Italy” is what got me through last winter during yet another round of lockdowns. Waiting (im)patiently for season 2. His book is in my TBR pile. I’m not much for audiobooks but I’m thinking his would probably be a good one. 🙂
Oooh, I will have to find “Searching for Italy.” I love Stanley Tucci in just about anything, from serious to ridiculous (love his character in the Hunger Games movies). And there was something insanely romantic about his character in “Julie and Julia” that I absolutely loved. He seems like such a genuinely wonderful, interesting man.
I have his book on my to-read list. I really really want to see his Italy series, but not sure where to see it here. Sigh. I love him as an actor, and it sounds like he is a lovely person.
