927th Friday Blog Roundup
I probably won’t read Spare but ChickieNob promised to give me the highlights in an oral executive summary. It’s likely that all the main points have already been said in articles or interviews, but I told her to direct me to a few sections. Are you reading it?

It’s Friday the 13th. I have no clue why I need to say that every time the Roundup coincides with Friday the 13th. As you were.

Stop procrastinating. Go make your backups. Don’t have regrets.
Seriously. Stop what you’re doing for a moment. It will take you fifteen minutes, tops. But you will have peace of mind for days and days. It’s the gift to yourself that keeps on giving.
As always, add any new thoughts to the Friday Backup post and peruse new comments to find out about methods, plug-ins, and devices that help you quickly back up your data and accounts.

And now the blogs…
But first, second, helpings of the posts that appeared in the open comment thread last week. To read the description before clicking over, please return to the open thread:

Okay, now my choices this week.
Movable Type has a post looking back at last year while trying to make this one better. She writes, “This morning over breakfast my father in law said contemplatively, ‘vacations always end, but then so will the school year.’ ‘That’s the thing –’ I suddenly realized: ‘I never felt like last year ever ended.‘ That perfectly sums up 2022.
Lastly, By the Brooke sums up the year, and you’re going to want to steal her outline and do it for yourself — 38 great questions. I love this about lessons learned in 2022: “It has reminded me not to take my own health for granted. It has reminded me that a dog who loves you best is a total mood-booster. It has reminded me that girls’ nights out are great, but girls’ nights in with stretchy pants are even better.”
The roundup to the Roundup: Reading Spare through the ChickieNob. Your weekly backup nudge. And lots of great posts to read. So what did you find this week? Please use a permalink to the blog post (written between January 6 – 13) and not the blog’s main URL. Not understanding why I’m asking you what you found this week? I couldn’t resist buying a copy yesterday as a birthday treat for myself — I had a gift card my sister gave me, plus lots of discounts — it was already marked 25% off, and I had a 20% coupon for my birthday, plus a membership card (another 10%, plus points that I cashed in for $5 off) — so I wound up paying next to nothing, lol. I’m dying to get into it, but I have two book club books I need to get through first. Sigh… Duty before pleasure… (as Harry himself probably understands only too well, lol!).
I’ll probably read it, because I don’t trust anyone to give me an accurate unbiased review! lol (Except perhaps Loribeth or ChickieNob)
