933rd Friday Blog Roundup

Pretty much everything is a dumpster fire right now. I don’t know if it needs more brain power or commentary than that, so… onward!

*******

Stop procrastinating. Go make your backups. Don’t have regrets.

Seriously. Stop what you’re doing for a moment. It will take you fifteen minutes, tops. But you will have peace of mind for days and days. It’s the gift to yourself that keeps on giving.

As always, add any new thoughts to the Friday Backup post and peruse new comments to find out about methods, plug-ins, and devices that help you quickly back up your data and accounts.

*******

And now the blogs…

But first, second, helpings of the posts that appeared in the open comment thread last week. To read the description before clicking over, please return to the open thread:

Okay, now my choices this week.

Infertile Phoenix unpacks some uncomfortable confessions that were dumped on her lap. She writes, “I have been deemed a safe person to whom they confess their most personal thoughts.” Usually about (you guessed it…) children. Some awkward overshares and other touching moments.

Lastly, I really loved Finding A Different Path’s post about self care. I both roll my eyes and feel I need to prioritize self-care. And I adore the self-care items on the to-do list, most of which were actual self-care (sleep-in) vs. fake self-care. Putting this out there in case you need a reminder.

The roundup to the Roundup: Things are just not great. Your weekly backup nudge. And lots of great posts to read. So what did you find this week? Please use a permalink to the blog post (written between February 17 – 24) and not the blog’s main URL. Not understanding why I’m asking you what you found this week. Read the original open thread post here.

I’m only just catching up on blog reading and posts now, so I wish I had a second helping, but I don’t. Or don’t remember (which is quite possible)!

Pamela draws parallels between infertility & long covid… anyone who think “it’s over” needs to read this post. (And she’s marking her blogoversary!)
