963rd Friday Blog Roundup
I get to speak at a career day on Monday. It has been a long time since I last went in front of the young’uns and told them how they could grow up to be just. like. me.
While I don’t remember my last career day (last year? I think I presented last year), I do remember my first career day. Two days after the Trump/Clinton election, the twins’ school brought me in to talk about my job. And I’m like… I think this will be more of a therapy session for all of us.
So.
That’s how I’m spending Monday morning, filling the next generation’s heads with ideas for their bright future.

Stop procrastinating. Go make your backups. Don’t have regrets.
Seriously. Stop what you’re doing for a moment. It will take you fifteen minutes, tops. But you will have peace of mind for days and days. It’s the gift to yourself that keeps on giving.
As always, add any new thoughts to the Friday Backup post and peruse new comments to find out about methods, plug-ins, and devices that help you quickly back up your data and accounts.

And now the blogs…
But first, second, helpings of the posts that appeared in the open comment thread last week. To read the description before clicking over, please return to the open thread:
- “Aimee” (The Twenty Percenters)
- “(Re)Connections/Seeing Old Friends” (Infertile Phoenix)
Okay, now my choices this week.
Finding A Different Path is opting for skills over pills. This barometer made so much sense to me: “I feel it is messing with me without any positives so far. And I’m not sure I want to wait to see if positives erupt, because it makes me feel so yucky.” If you’ve ever asked, “how do you know?” Well, that’s how you know. P.S. Become my bullet journal buddy.
Lastly, Infertile Phoenix has reached the space. She writes, “I can rest now. I’m not trying to get anywhere or become anything. I am no longer building, no longer creating a life I want to live. I’m just living it.” I love that thought that you come to this peaceful glen where you can just be vs. trying to run to get somewhere.
The roundup to the Roundup: The next generation. Your weekly backup nudge. And lots of great posts to read. So what did you find this week? Please use a permalink to the blog post (written between November 10 – November 17) and not the blog’s main URL. Not understanding why I’m asking you what you found this week.
