#Microblog Monday 464: Digital Cleaning
Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

Gmail often warns me that I’m about to run out of space, which is a bummer because when I first got Gmail, it felt like I would never run out of room. Alas.
I usually delete a few emails with large attachments, but I don’t have many anymore. I just have a lot of normal emails. So I went through and downloaded folders to my computer, checked them, and then deleted them from Gmail, getting back about 11% of my allotted space.
The fun side of cleaning is what it unearths. Old videos and photos. Funny emails that I barely understand because so much time has passed. Old documents from publishers. It almost made the task enjoyable.
And then I backed up my computer because it’s scary only to have things in one place.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts connected to businesses or sponsored posts.

My gmail is mainly clogged with all the updates/newsletters/social media reminders etc. (As is another email I mainly use for those things.) They drive me crazy, but occasionally I want to look at something that is in them, so I don’t “unsubscribe” from the mailing list. That’s my main issue. But yes, looking back into things also brings joy, as I discovered this week!
Yep. I’ve been getting that warning too, but no time to clean up and organize.
My coworker was at inbox 0 the other day. I was jealous, and yet I still can’t let some of the junk go.
