#Microblog Monday 510: Please Vote

Not sure what #MicroblogMondays is? Read the inaugural post which explains the idea and how you can participate too.

*******

Tomorrow is election day in the US, but we voted weeks ago when early voting started. We usually wait until election day and go to our local polling place, but this year, we went to early voting when it opened. My Tuesdays are full of meetings, and I didn’t want to try to time it between two and get stuck in line. But I’m also fairly nervous, and voting early meant I could try to give myself the day to not think about what was happening at the polls.

If you’ve voted early, thank you.

If you haven’t voted yet, please go tomorrow. A lot of domestic policy rides on this election, and every vote counts.

Are you also doing #MicroblogMondays? Add your link below. The list will be open until Tuesday morning. Link to the post itself, not your blog URL. (Don’t know what that means? Please read the three rules on this post to understand the difference between a permalink to a post and a blog’s main URL.) Only personal blogs can be added to the list. I will remove any posts connected to businesses or sponsored posts.

I always vote by mail because my state allows it and I can sit at my desk and look up every single thing on the ballot. I got the message already that my ballot was received and will be counted, so that’s reassuring.

It is SO STRESSFUL right now! We voted on the second day early voting was open in NY, which was 10/27. It felt good to get it done and not have to worry about what it will look like tomorrow. Tuesdays are busy for us too, and we would 100% go vote, but it would be less enjoyable.

I don’t know how I’m going to make it through tomorrow (and probably the days to come, as I doubt it will be decided right away, ugh). Gaaaahhhhh

A lot is riding on this election for those of us in Canada and elsewhere around the world too. We don’t get a vote (obviously), but we’ll be waiting and watching along with you all! and hoping for a good outcome. (We’re both supposed to be trying to lose weight, but we bought a big bag of chips for tomorrow night, lol.)
